Laminar ceilings and cells Tion B Lam are ceiling devices for sterile air flow supply for protection of the operating table and tools from environmental contamination. The air is supplied through the ventilation system (or is collected straight from the maintained premise if an air recirculation column is used), passes through the cleaning and disinfection system in the laminar ceiling and is supplied in the form of an one-direction flow from top downwards to the zone of the operating table or the patient’s bed. The laminar ceiling Tion B Lam simultaneously filtrates particles, inactivates (destructs) all types of microorganisms, and cleans the air from odours and harmful gases. The HEPA H14 class of the device meets the air filtration requirements for ISO 5 cleanrooms.

Tion B Lam not only filtrates and disinfects but also cleans the air from dust, allergens, harmful substances, and odours.

Working principle of Tion B Lam
The air is supplied through the ventilation system (or is collected straight from the maintained premise if the air-return column is used), passes through the cleaning and disinfection system in the laminar ceiling and is supplied in the form of an one-direction flow from top downwards to the zone of the operating table or the patient’s bed. Tion B Lam simultaneously filtrates particles, inactivates (destructs) all types of microorganisms, and cleans air from odours and harmful gases. It ensures ISO 5 grade air cleanness in the flow zone.
The Tion B Lam laminar system consists of a pre-filter (1), capturing coarse mechanical contaminating particles, an electrostatic unit (2), a bulk HEPA filter unit (3), where contaminating particles are settled and microorganisms (viruses, bacteria, mold spores) are inactivated by ozone, and an adsorption-catalytic unit (4) destructing ozone and harmful substances in gaseous state.

Laminar ceiling with connection to ventilation (100% of air from outside).
Laminar ceiling with connection to ventilation and recirculation via air-return column(s) (a part of air is collected from the outside and a part of air is taken from the premise).
The -RP air-return column is supplied customized for the laminar ceiling. It allows for reduction of the supply air intake from the outside by means of intake of a part of air from the maintained premise. This allows for reduction of the load and power consumption of the ventilation system for inflow air heating and chilling. The fan speed is regulated automatically depending on the supplied volume of inflow outdoor air for achieving the rated value of air flow speed at the outlet from the laminar flow (0.24 m/s). The air-return column is installed on the wall of the premise. If necessary, the column(s) allows for laminar ceiling operation without connection to the ventilation: the air is collected from the premise by -RP air-return columns, is disinfected, cleaned and supplied again to the premise. This allows for operations in premises without a central ventilation system or when it undergoes upgrade.

The laminar ceiling Tion B Lam is chosen from the lineup in compliance with premise groups as per normatives and in compliance with inflow ventilation performance.
EASE OF OPERATION
A control unit is used for Tion laminar system control. The control unit monitors and controls the operating parameters and ensures power supply of one laminar ceiling as well as air-return columns connected to it. The control unit can be connected to the dispatching system of the building. It is recommended to install the control unit outside the clean room, for example on a technical floor.
OPERATION IN THE PARTIAL RECIRCULATION MODE
When the fan capacity is not sufficient for provision of the required air exchange rate, the connection of the recirculation device to the laminar system is recommended (the missing part of air is collected straight from the premise and is supplied to the laminar ceiling again).
